I like to get up in the morning 
See the cows out on the hay 
Watch the sun rise in the meadow 
Welcome the gifts of the day. 

I like to walk out in the evening 
The kids and the dogs at my heels 
Check on the cows in the meadow 
Look over the crops in the fields. 

At the end of the day I take pleasure 
In all of the chores I have done 
A fine piece of land is a treasure 
I'm glad to call this one my own.
