That Old Song

© Joyce Marion Cobbs MacLean

That old song is many years old

Yet that old song has never been sold

That old song lies in every heart

For that old song is a work of art.

That old song it has no tune

Yet that old song can sure fill a room

That Old song has only one line

But that old song can really mark time

That old song is always a hit

To that old song we walk and we sit

That old song can turn the hair grey

But that old song is here to stay.

That old song will go on and on

As that old song each new day is born

That old song will never die

For that old song is a new baby's cry.
